Welcome to Backgammon Germany
The Rhein-Neckar-Cup was created in Mannheim as early as 2003.
which is one of the most successful regional tournaments in Germany.
Since 2012, the two passionate backgammon players Volker Sonnabend and Rainer Witt have been organizing
the International German Backgammon Championships, which have now become one of the largest backgammon events in Europe, with more than 200 national and international participants.
A year later, the Lions Cup was added, which traditionally takes place in Bad Dürkheim. We are supported on the Lions tour by the casino and the Kurpark Hotel in Bad Dürkheim.
International German Championship 2027
The 14th Lions Cup will take place from
September 3rd - 6th, 2026
in the Kurpark Hotel and Casino
Bad Dürkheim instead.
